Glass Kitchen
The brief for this kitchen stated that all products used in the manufacture were to be from a natural source. Therefore nothing chemically produced could be used in this healthy home, owned and built by my clients. The beautifully built country-styled home, with its Macrocarpa flooring and Colonial-style windows is further enhanced by the beautiful gardens and tree-lined section which surrounds it. With this in mind, creating a kitchen that reflected this and did not compromise on design was a challenge. The style of the kitchen would reflect the style of the home; Country Classic. Light-coloured cabinetry was chosen to enhance the timber used throughout the home. The main doors and panelling are Natural Pine with a vertical groove frame. The benchtops are Granite with Macrocarpa edging. The interior/carcase was manufactured in Natural Bamboo in keeping with the brief that all products used were to be from a natural source. It features a classic butler's sink and tap in silver/brass to compliment the Brass finishing to other areas of the home. As wall space was limited, a pull-out pantry and swing-arm pantry were used to minimise space while maintaining ample storage. The end result is a stylish, much admired, all-natural functional, workable kitchen.
